Jerome Banks Brown is a forensic psychologist living and working in Houston, Texas, who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of criminal defendants. Perhaps it is because he has seen the darker side of human nature that he continues to maintain an interest in the horror genre, as its primary emphasis upon the continuing struggle between good and evil makes it eternally and essentially romantic. He was first introduced to “The Dunwich Horror,” “The Rats in the Walls” and other writings of H.P. Lovecraft while attending college. After this, his fascination has continued unabated, leading him to subsequently pursue the large body of literature comprising the Cthulhu Mythos and the prolific authors who have continued this tradition through the present. "The Philbus Memorandum” and its sequel "The Horror in the Traquair Maze” are his attempts to continue this tradition, and to recognize that this body of work still offers endless possibilities for new and novel story material.
