Mark Samuels

Mark Samuels was born in 1967 in Clapham, south London and grew up in Crystal Palace. His novels and story collections include The White Hands (2003), Black Altars (2003) and The Face of Twilight (2006). His work has also appeared in magazines and anthologies such as Dementia, Tales from Tartarus, Terror Tales and The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror 2006. Thomas Ligotti called The White Hands “a treasure and a genuine contribution to the real history of weird fiction” and T.E.D. Klein called it “genuinely chilling.” He is at work on Glyphotech, a collection of stories, and Chthonopolis, a novel. His “Mysteries of the Abyss” in Fantastic Horror #1 is reprinted from Black Altars. |
